Why not just go full on harem? His dad’s Poseidon, it’s literally in his genes to philander

Because harems are unrealistic and very difficult to write convincingly. I tried it once, and I hated every second of it. It’s too much work trying to juggle multiple relationships and emotions. Not to mention, I personally feel that Harems are demeaning to women. If I ever write a relationship where the protagonist sleeps with multiple women despite being in a committed relationship, he would allow his women to do the same.

Yea let’s see what happened, although I wouldn’t like to read about other characters sleeping with the MCs love interests. Not sure if that’s what happened, but just in case.

Why even have an endgame? As a demigod especially a Greek one it makes sense for him to live longer than others, and it doesn’t make sense for anyone else to keep up with him in his later life.

“Wouldn’t we all?” Ash joked, slapping my back playfully. “But keep in mind that Noah isn’t here just because of luck. He’s worked really hard to achieve everything he has. I was on set when he shot [The Blue Lagoon], and I’ve seen his growth from that to [Risky Business], a film he wrote himself. Then there was the film he directed, the same one he’s promised to show us on the island. All of this takes skill. None of us would be able to sustain the same level of success if we exchanged places with him.”

“Hear, hear,” Peter agreed. “Even I was a little jealous when he got [The Blue Lagoon], but then I realized that if our positions were swapped, I might not have helped my friends the way he helped me and Ash. So if Noah’s successful today, it’s because he deserves it.”

I noticed this in DoS as well, but scenes like this where the character glaze MC come off as unnatural, stilted and cringe.
      Might be a cultural difference.
