At this point you’ve already had Julianne Moore and Daryl Hannah, and who these days knows who Daryl Hannah is apart from Steel Magnolias and maybe Splash! I wouldn’t worry about whether people know who a given actress is or not. You’ve stated up front from the very beginning that this is a period piece. I say pick a known actress from the era and go for it.
Acacia is very good character. If you decide to settle Noah with an OC then definitely her. But if you decide on an actress, you can choose someone from late 90s or 2000s because as far as I remember Noah have slow ageing
